God’s Perfect Days

See the rising sun’s rays,

Chasing cold morning mists away.

Bask in the warmth of the sun,

Another of God’s perfect days has begun.

Feel the whispering breeze,

As it caresses the trees,

And fuels the bounding butterflies

As they all freely flutter by.

Feel the buzzing bumblebees,

As they’re buzzing busily about me.

Defying the laws of physics,

By the way that they fly.

See the flitting hummingbird,

Whose flight is beyond words,

Wings gracefully, furiously beating,

Powers of gravity they're defeating.

Listen to the songbirds sing,

Their own praises they bring

To their Creator who’ll forever be,

The Maestro of nature’s sweet symphony.

Consider the elegant swan,

Gliding gracefully ‘cross the pond.

Incomparable, and regal the way,

God’s beauty is proudly on display.

Watch the rushing waterfall,

An endless flow, the wonder of it all.

Fed by a deep, subterranean spring,

God surely thought of everything.

Hear the crushing thunder,

Feel the crackle of the lightning.

Such awesome power and majesty,

That can be so very frightening.

Watch the wondrous rainbow,

Paint the sky with watercolor hues.

Reminding us of God's promise,

Before slowly fading from view.

As the sun sets before me,

In a brilliant auburn haze,

I stare mutely and adore thee,

And am filled with humble praise,

At how blessed I am to be

Sharing one more of God’s perfect days.

I’m in awe of these miraculous things

That only God’s creation brings.

Though we mayn’t understand all of God’s ways,

We are blessed to marvel at God’s perfect days.
