Story of the Post-its

I used to think that it was crazy that my sister Sandy used to stick post-its notes all over her house.  They would be on the bathroom mirrors, kitchen appliances, the walls and all over her computer room. When I asked her why she put these up, she replied; " Sometimes I have to be reminded of God's love".  I thought it kind of silly at the time. But I thought, ok, whatever, still it is silly. But she seemed to always be focused on the Lord. Whereas, I couldn't even focused on life. I had such a bad time with anxiety and depression that it dominated my life. When I gave my life over to the Lord on Jan 12, 2002, Jesus started to heal me of these two troublesome things. Slowly I started to walk in faith and victory. But every once in awhile I would start to slip back. I would call my sister and she would give me a little "word" and say to me; "now write that down and stick it somewhere". Soon I had post-it notes all over the place! But today I am healed of those two ugly reminders of my past. I still need to be encouraged from time to time,  so the post-it notes still hang around my apartment.

My sister went home to be with the Lord August 7th, 2004. I miss her terribly but there is so much she left me. One of the things that I cherish most, post-it notes to remind me of God's love for me!

So here at Embracing the Rain, in loving memory of my sister Sandy, we have posted little post-it notes.  If you want to post your own post-it notes, feel free to borrow ours. We also have where you can leave your own message for others. (Please keep it clean, younger people read these pages) Click on blank post-it and enjoy the java applet!
