Ignored by your greeting you're pushed aside

Don't cast away the hope that I gave you inside.

It was me who turned your ashes to beauty

A beautiful ruby is what I see

You were rejected by wrongdoers, not by me.

I don't care how you look

I don't care where you've been

My invitation was come as you are

When you gave me your heart

Didn't you feel me come in?

Those insults are just flaming darts

It makes me cry to see you run away.

It wasn't me rejecting you

So don't let them steal the hope that I gave

They make my Father's house a den of robbers

Sacrifices too costly that you're unable to pay.

You traveled such a long journey

Justified by others, turned you away.

Salvation is a gift that is free

Sacrifices I did not require to cleanse of your sins

Only one thing I desired of you

Give me your heart so I can enter in.

Like a child you must first learn to walk

On the potters wheel you will be shaped

I'll take you from glory to glory

I will make you holy for my name sake.

The still small voice is the truth that I speak

Open your heart you will be able to hear

"I'll never leave you nor forsake you"

See, I am still here!

Child, keep your eyes on the joy set before you

You will not endure this broken heart alone

For this crime will not go unpunished

Come to me and I will see you safely home.
