To my mother on Mother's day

Words can not tell you how thankful I am

For praying me through this distant land

A journey towards my eternal home far away

On your knees daily for me you did pray

A mother's prayer you knew God would hear

To keep over your child you held so dear

To see me through life's ups and downs

To see me safely on a base of solid ground

At times I'm sure you lost peaceful sleep

While you watched your child fall so deep

On your knees asking God in humble prayer

You trustingly placed me in God's loving care

His angels you knew would be in charge over me

To guide me in the ways of God the Almighty

You watched me voyage on troubled seas

But in God loving hands you knew I would be

God saw you on your couch you watered with tears

Comforting your cry and settling your fears

For you trusted God's promises He's always faithful to

Knowing He'd calm the storm I was going threw

I'm sure it was hard seeing me dangling on that rope

The liar's words of deception made you loose hope

But you remembered that I took Jesus into my heart

By faith of those words you knew I would not depart

So here today I stand on a rock solid foundation

It is to you my dear mother who led me to salvation

So I owe my new hope to your bended knees

For the countless prayers you said on behalf of me

How do you say thank you to the seeds that you sowed

For teaching me and training me in the way I should go?

I only can say thank you giving me a firm foundation

Your prayers God heard and now I learn for the next generation!

I LOVE YOU MOM!
