SHIRLEY part 2:

MAGIC OF WIND, MUSIC & LEAVES

Today on the radio I heard “Autumn Leaves.

Swimming in my mind is the poem I sent

about colorful leaves of fall in the breeze.

Close your eyes’ are the words from one line.

Music created by the wind will make you feel fine.

That day you stored a picture of leaves in your mind.

Today pretty Fall colors you may again find.

In case you did not listen to the wind very long

or maybe you missed some notes of that song;

today on the piano I play you notes the wind did play.

This cassette I made is for you to hear today.

Just imagine the wind whistling thru the trees,

rustling and removing the colorful Fall leaves.

Along with this cassette I send this poem along.

Forgive the grammar and the words spelled wrong.

Remember in English I finally did pass

but was far from being head of our class.

Soon by the music bug you will get bit.

That is when you get the maximum benefit.

The words and notes may number but a few

but each word and note I created just for you.

I hope every note will help you find

the beauty of Fall earlier imprinted in your mind.

Pretend each note is traveling on a breeze.

The picture is yours even after the Fall freeze.

On an impulse I made this audio tape in haste.

Hope my piano selections please your taste.

In your mind you can take that short ride.

Recall the leaves by the river flowing so wide.

Just sit back but not one finger lift.

Hear the music and let your mind freely drift.

Very soon you will relax and feel mellow.

Again you will see leaves of red, gold and yellow.

The world will disappear and time will seem to freeze.

May the magic of the leaves put your mind at ease.

Just close your eyes and to the music listen.

Notice the beautiful Fall leaves still glisten.

Very soon you will feel calm and serene.

Leaves seem more beautiful than any ever seen.

Now you have the message and know what I meant

in that previous poem I wrote and sent.

The wind plays music that most people ignore.

You hear music because you took time to explore.

As a result there is a plus I forgot to mention.

Frustration disappears along with the tension.

As the temperature falls and weather turns cold

you can still see leaves of red, orange and gold.

The most beautiful pictures you will ever find

are those you earlier stored in your mind.

I thank God for providing us with this magic.

May you feel better today and life seem less tragic.

Each new dawn the Earth will continue to spin.

Your battles continue that seem impossible to win.

Take comfort in friends that really care.

We want to help your burdens share.

Thanks for letting me share part of your day.

I always mention your name when to God I pray.

We both send our love

At death, God’s people do not say “Goodbye

instead we say ”Will see you later.”
