1)Do you remember the day you were saved and where?

When my siblings and I were young children we became saved (also our mother became saved that same day). A pastor led us into prayer for our confession and then he baptized us.

2)When facing a difficult time, what helps you get through it?

God helps me overcome all the challenges that I face. I continue to speak God’s Word about the situation (regardless of how I feel at that moment), and I keep on praying and believing. In addition, it’s important to pray and speak God’s Word about the situation because prayer changes the situation. My security comes from knowing that God is in control of All the details of my life, so everything is going according to God’s will and glory. It’s important for me to remind myself that the Lord is Faithful, nothing is too hard for God, that the Lord is bigger than any problem that I will ever face. Also, it is so important for me to apply the scriptures in my life. I need to say them daily because hearing the Word will help strengthen my faith. Also, I remind myself that he is Always with me (even at times when it doesn’t feel like it) “He never leaves me nor forsakes me”  “Christ himself dwells in me.”  Moreover, it’s important for me to remember that the Lord has set me free “Whom the son sets free, is free indeed.” Also, I have learned that when I give the situation over to God (I have to fully give it over to him), with the Lord’s help I don’t worry or think about it anymore. I have a saying: I will do my best and let the Lord take care of the rest.

3)What was one of your biggest trials that you KNOW that God brought you through?

I was going through a difficult time mentally last year, and the Lord healed and delivered me from that situation. There was a negative thought that used to bother me over and over again. So, I started to go back to church again and learned some scriptures. In addition, I went to a few on campus ministries at my school. I discovered that God’s Word is a spiritual sword. Furthermore, I kept on saying “I am healed by his stripes,”  “God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a Sound Mind. The Lord’s Word is so powerful that it changes the situation. As I daily kept on saying, hearing, and believing God’s Word, Jesus delivered me from that situation. I no longer have to take medication; Jesus took the fear and worry away. Additionally, through my trials, the Lord has taught me to trust him. “All things work together for the good of those who love God” is so true, and I can testify that because my experience took my faith to a higher level. It brought me closer to God, and I developed a personal relationship with Jesus. I believe that we have to go through certain obstacles in our life to make our faith stronger. When the Lord delivered me, I knew for sure that God was the only way I survived that obstacle. Also, I learned that God is truly faithful.

I thank the Lord Jesus Christ that I am saved, healed, and that he delivered me from that situation.

Reminder: God works in mysterious ways. The Lord has numerous ways that he heals people. If you have a chemical imbalance and need medication then please do take it. In addition, keep on speaking God’s word about the situation and he will heal and deliver you.

4)What advice would you give to other Christians women that are going through a hard time?

It is very important to know who you are in Christ. God gave us power and authority over the enemy: Luke 10:19 “I give you power to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” Remember, there is power in the name of Jesus. In addition, start looking up scriptures that apply to your situation and confess that daily, have faith, and watch how God changes the situation. Also, you need to pray throughout the day. If the situation is out of your control then you must give it over to God: “Don‘t worry about anything, pray about everything, he’ll give you a peace that passes all understanding.” Furthermore, you have to remind yourself that God is Faithful; he’s our rock and refuge. Also, “Our God shall supply all our needs according to his riches in glory,” and “He never leaves us nor forsakes us.”

5) What is your favorite scripture? Why?

I like so many scriptures in the bible because it’s God word which is so reassuring because he is faithful. The following are some of my favorite scriptures:

¨       “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”

¨       “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.”

¨       “We are healed by his stripes.”

¨       “God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind.”

¨       “I Can do All things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.”

¨       “Whom the son sets free, is free indeed”

¨       “For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to Prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a Hope and a Future.”

¨       “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ”

¨        “Christ himself dwells in me.”

¨       “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, and the new has come!”

¨       “He Never leaves me nor forsakes me.”

¨       “All things work together for the good of those who love God.”

¨       “My God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory.”

¨       “The Lord is my rock and refuge”

6) What is your favorite Christian song and why?

I like so many contemporary gospel songs. Since I had to narrow it down, I chose these 5 songs because the messages really inspire me when I am going through an obstacle.

Dr. Charles G. Hayes and The Cosmopolitan Choir  “Jesus will work it out”

Kirk Franklin “Imagine Me”

Mary Mary “Yesterday”

Tonex “Doesn’t really matter”

Trinity 5:7 “God’s Grace”

7)What would you tell others who don't know Jesus?
Where you spend eternity is a very important issue. Jesus said
, "No one can come to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). People who aren’t saved need to know the truth that receiving God’s free gift of salvation is the only way one will be able to have everlasting life (heaven). "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). God loves all people so much that he gave up his life to save our lives (Jesus is God in the flesh). “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him (Jesus), shall not perish but have everlasting life.” If you haven’t watched the film The Passion of the Christ then please do so because it clearly shows how much he loves everyone and sacrificed for all people.

All you have to do to be saved is the following: “Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God rose him up from the dead, you shall be saved.”

“Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was nailed to a cross by ungodly men for no sin of His own. He was an innocent man-- the only man who was ever perfect and sinless. He never sinned, yet He took your sins and mine by taking an unjust death. Because He did this willingly, He was raised from the dead by His Father and given life and authority over the powers of darkness. God now imparts that same life and authority to all those who come receiving His provision for their sin.” “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin" (I John 1:7) http://bible.com/bibleanswers_result.php?id=180
