Column: "Help for the Helpless"

Wayne
Auman started writing his column, "Hope
For The Helpless," to be a source of encouragement to those who
have had to deal with physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, as well
as those who are fighting addictions. Rather than judge and
condemn, Wayne chooses to reach out to give hope to the helpless,
and to point the way to the only true solution for their struggles:
the Lord Jesus Christ.
Wayne states: "There is no way in this fallen world to break free from the bondage of our temptations, wounds, and addictions in our own power. I'm here to remind everyone that they are loved with an incredible, incomparable love; that God loves them just as they are. God knows that the battle against sin can't be won on our own, that's why He provided us a Savior, Jesus Christ. By receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior and turning from your sin, you will be washed white as snow, with a totally clean slate. Once you follow Jesus Christ, you then receive God's Holy Spirit, who indwells within you, brings you a peace beyond all understanding, and allows you to tap into the power of the Lord Himself to defeat all sin, all addictions, and all emotional/spiritual turmoil. Then, and only then, will you be victorious." Another reason that Wayne writes "Hope For The Helpless," is to give a voice to the most helpless, innocent beings of all, our precious unborn babies. Himself a father of an unborn son-a son that he desperately wanted-abortion is a deeply personal issue to Wayne. On the 25th anniversary of his son's horrible death, Wayne wrote the song, "I Wonder," and wrote an account of the entire experience entitled, "Love Song to the Son I Never Knew," which is archived on this website. Wayne is available to speak out against this sadistic, barbaric practice if needed. Wayne Auman lives in the beautiful western North Carolina mountains with his incredible wife Wendy, also a writer, and his three wonderful boys: Connor (11), Tristan (8), and Trevor (5). He is an entrepreneur and writer of movie screenplays, fiction, poems and songs. Wayne and Wendy co-wrote their first screenplay, entitled "Exact Change Only," a romantic "dramedy" about an embarrassing chance encounter with a beautiful toll-booth operator that inspires a billionaire bachelor to masquerade as a regular guy, hoping she will fall for him, not for his wealth. Along the way, he learns the value of faith, honesty, and trust while her core beliefs are challenged by a devastating secret from his past-a secret that could destroy their future together. A novelization for "Exact Change Only" is in the works.
