Debbie McMannus

My name is Debbie and I am a single lady who lives in Michigan.
During my childhood I was teased a lot and this developed into a
 low self esteem. After graduating from high school I went on to the
University of Michigan, where I obtained a degree in business. I
later developed a serious medical condition. Due to this I lost many good jobs,
but one good thing came out of this, I started attending a Baptist church. I
found out about this church from a singles group I was attending and I went for a
year and this was where I was saved. After a couple of years I found something
was missing inside of me so I started attending a Pentecostal Church of God.

I attended one PCG church and I did some ministry in there. However after several years of attending
there, after my father passed away I changed over to Glad Tidings Tabernacle. (PCG) This is where I
am currently a member. During this time I found out a lot of hurt from my past was reappearing
and one night during a revival I was baptized in the Holy Spirit. I realized that the Lord can and will help me to take care of my past problems. You see a lot of people took advantage of me and hurt me greatly in my past. I felt like I had no friends. I felt rejected.  I know now that Jesus is my friend and he will never leave me or forsake me.
As stated in Hebrews 13:5 "I will never leave you or forsake you." I found out that it is not necessary to have man in your life to be happy, you can be happy in the Lord. The Lord is in the process of healing me from my medical problems and I am now taking only two medications and I was taking three.

I know what it is to have a friend in the Lord and he will always be there to guide me
on the right path, and he can be there for you no matter where you have come from. He is there waiting with open arms to accept you into his world if only you ask.
